The harsh winter this year gave Caddo Lake and it’s surrounding waterways huge relief from Salvinia this spring. There has been an estimated 80% die off of the invasive plant species!  Texas Parks and Wildlife surveyed locations where significant green Salvinia still remained and sprayed those areas efficiently. The results have been wonderful. Some weevils even survived, so the hope of introducing more cold tolerant weevils into the Caddo Lake environment to combat the Salvinia remains strong!
