For 29 years, Caddo Lake has been the only Wetland of International Importance in Texas. World Wetlands Day is celebrated every February 2nd, and this year the theme is: Wetlands Action for People and Nature, highlighting the importance of actions to ensure the conservation and sustainable use of wetlands for humans and planetary health.
Each year on World Wetlands Day we focus on the value of wetlands to people and wildlife and shared information about the state of the lake. We hope you join us:
